Question Public git repository?

Forum: User Requirements

From: Jan Christoph Terasa <Jan Christoph Terasa>

I've read in the Software Management WG plan for 2014 that there are plans to evaluate changing the version control system from SVN to git. I guess this change will be internal, but are there any additional plans to publish the source code as a public repository on a service like github or gitorious as well? This will make it easier for users to maintain patches to the core GEANT4 toolkit, and it allows to easily visualize incremental changes in the source code. Additionally the main developers can more easily benefit from users who find and fix bugs, or even implement new features.
