Looks like a case of inconsistent environments to me.

I suggest youy make a completely new build with "./Configure -build" requesting just X11 version of OpenGL. (Forget Xm and Qt for now.)

Then, as it says in the Installation Guide, "./Configure" to make env.sh and env.csh. Then "source env.sh" (or env.csh, depending on your shell) and completely rebuild your application.
