A Geant4 program that I am using started crashing some days ago on one of my computers when run it in interactive mode. It worked well before and it still works well on two other computers. It does not crash in batch mode (without visualisation) on any of the computers. I have attached a log file to show what happens when I run the program on the computer where it crashes. The crash occurs after the call to G4UIExecutive. The log file contains both a log of when the program is running directly and from within gdb. For the gdb run, I have also included the backtrace list to show where the program crashes.
All 3 computers run Ubuntu 18.04 with gcc 7.3.0 and I am using Geant4 10.05.
In the attached log file the shared library
is printed when the program crashed. This file is the same on all 3 computers:
$ ls -l /usr/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/libQt5Gui.so.5 lrwxrwxrwx 1 root root 18 2019-02-06 08:47 /usr/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/libQt5Gui.so.5 -> libQt5Gui.so.5.9.5 $ ls -l /usr/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/libQt5Gui.so.5.9.5 -rw-r--r-- 1 root root 5653424 2019-02-06 08:47 /usr/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/libQt5Gui.so.5.9.5
Perhaps the problem is with Qt, but I am not sure. Any advices for how to fix this problem are highly appreciated.
