Question Stuck Simulations

Hi Geant experts,

I hope that's the right thread for my question. I'm simulating events in Geant where I shoot a diversity of particles (pions, kaons, gammas, ...) at many different energies (up to max. 150 TeV) on ice. I'm running this simulation on a cluster. While many simulations run successfully, others are not able to finish within one week. So my question is, is it really possible that a simulation requires more than a week of computation time or is it more likely that it got stuck somewhere? I investigated the correlation between energy and required time but can only observe a weak dependence dependence. I.e. let's say a Kaon at 5TeV finishes within a few minutes while a Kaon at 1TeV fails to complete within a week. Is there any reference showing the correlation between particle type/energy and required time?

Thank you very much for any input on this! Anna
