Question Compilation warning on G4RunManager class

Forum: Run Management
Date: 28 Jun, 2011
From: Thomas Zerguerras <Thomas Zerguerras>

Good afternoon,

I upgraded some of my applications from Geant4 v9.1 to v9.3p02, installed on Ubuntu Lucid (10.04).

When compiling for the first time with v9.3p02 (after performing a make clean) I have this kind of Warning message:

" In file included from /usr/physics/geant4/pro/source/run/include/G4RunManager.hh: In member function ‘void G4RunManager::SetRandomNumberStoreDir(const G4String&)’: /usr/physics/geant4/pro/source/run/include/G4RunManager.hh:357: warning: ignoring return value of ‘int system(const char*)’, declared with attribute warn_unused_result "

Here the is the main program, where the runManager is called.

At the execution, the program is running without any crash or error.

What is the meaning of such a warning message ? Can I do something to avoid it ?

Thanks a lot for your help,
