Question Gracefully aborting a run

Forum: Run Management
Date: 30 Nov, 2010
From: Anthony Villano <Anthony Villano>

I have a simulation in which I use a file to generate the primary particles. I made a class in which the generation mechanics are similar to G4ParticleGun but has various other members to aid in file reading.

In the macro file for my simulation, however I still use a command of the form:

/run/beamOn 1000

However, this is not really appropriate since I really want it to stop when the end of the file comes (flags are set in my previously mentioned object).

I noticed in repy "1" to question "86" (4 May 2005) of this forum there was mention of:

"abort_if_end_of_file_is_detected"

This seems like exactly what I need, but what specific code can be used to execute this by exiting the simulation in a somewhat clean way?

Thanks
