i want to detect the radiation of excited radioactive source. Geant4 allow us to define the ion with the G4GeneralParticleSource in this way:
Format: /gps/ion <Z A Q E>
Arguments: Integers Z (the Atomic number), A (the Atomic mass) and Q (ionic charge in units of e). Double E the excitation energy of the ion in keV.
Well, if the excitation energy "E" is different from 0.0, the simulation starts but the nucleus doesn't emit any gamma radiation and doesn't decay. I need start the simulation with excited nuclei, so there is any where i can modify the code to make this parameter usefull? best regards Enrico Billi
