 The exact code fragment you specified guarantees you can do
whatever you want. What you have to do is implementing your
own concrete class inherirting from G4VStateDependent and 
registering it to G4StateManager. Then your class will be 
notified at the moment of changing Geant4 state to "Abort". 
You can return "false" if you do not want to abort the execution.

 It is our design decision not to throw exception. But you can
throw in your own implementation.
