Hello all; I wanted to benchmark my application by simply getting the projected range of ions launched from a gun. I am launching protons and F19 between 1keV to 1MeV in water or lithium. Ranges are obtained by: G4ThreeVector postPosition = postStepPoint->GetPosition(); G4double RangeY = postPosition[1]; Results are quite surprising as they differ strongly from SRIM 2008 below 0.5MeV. I checked also with this topic, leading to the same value (about 233um): http://hypernews.slac.stanford.edu/HyperNews/geant4/get/emprocess/1160.html Here is a comparison between SRIM and, the Shielding list (input in the main) and LiverMore em physics, included in PhysicsList. For F19 in water 10keV 20keV 50keV 100keV 500keV 1MeV SRIM: 402A 779A 1954A 3966A 1.62um 2.56um G4 Shielding: 219A 508A 1705A 4852A 1.69um 2.21um G4 EmLivermorePhysics: 244A 584A 1790A 4520A 1.64um 2.49um My default cut value is 0.00001um. What can I change or improve? Thank you
