Dear Geant4 Experts,
I'm investigating Cerenkov photons which follow neutron capture on hydrogen in hadronic cascades in ice.
For this, I set up my own Geant version using the PhysicsList(s) attached. I'm additionally comparing these results to a simulation where Geant is used, let's say, in a black box, so I can't really access intermediate information. This Geant-version uses the "QGSP_BERT_HP" PhysicsList.
When I compare the Cerenkov yield from neutron capture of both simulations, I see roughly ten times as many Cerenkov photons from neutron capture in the "black-box"-version as in my own. The different must lie in either the neutron capture process itself or maybe in the subsequent treatment of the cerenkov photons.
Does anyone see an obvious problem/difference in my PhysicsList or an issue with the "QGSP_BERT_HP" ?
Any help and input would be very much appreciated!
