I am trying to run a simulation that shoots electrons of 50 keV at a 1 micrometer thick gold plate of which would produce photons. After the gold plate there is a beryllium window that is about 130 micrometers thick. Right now I am using the Livermore Physicslist, but I'm unsure if this is the best choice. I also don't know what else would be necessary to do with the physics list besides just setting cut values and using RegisterPhysics(new G4EmLivermorePhysics).
With the current simulation I see a few photons being produced (2-5 in a thousand). I'm wondering if I am missing something to change Bremsstrahlung using the class inside of Livermore or is it already being used just by registering the physicslist?
With the cut values I found that I could use this:
and I've tried to change the upper and lower values to see if it would speed up the simulation and create more photons, but understandably by have a very low energy threshold (<250 eV), the simulation is very slow.
