Hi Andrea,

Thanks for the feedback; I'm finally getting round to trying to update our physics list. I noticed that BinaryLightIon is not suitable for the energies that I'm simulating, I should have given a bit more information.

I'd like to simulate from thermal energies up to 100 of MeV (well, 10s of MeV) for neutrons, with similar energy ranges for light ions. Our current (4.9.6) physics list uses the following:

Light ions:
 - Generic elastic model (any energy) G4LElastic
 - Low energy inelastic models for 0 - 100 MeV:
    - G4LEDeuteronInelastic
    - G4LETritonInelastic
    - G4LEAlphaInelastic

Protons:
 - Generic elastic model (any energy) G4LElastic
 - G4LEProtonInelastic inelastic for 0 - 25 GeV

Neutrons:
 - Generic elastic model (above 19 MeV) G4LElastic
 - High precision elastic model (4 eV - 19 MeV) G4NeutronHPElastic
 - Thermal scattering model (< 4 eV) G4NeutronHPThermalScattering
 - Low energy inelastic model (> 19 MeV) G4LENeutronInelastic
 - High precision inelastic model (0 - 19 MeV) G4NeutronHPInelastic
 - High precision capture and fission models (0 - 19 MeV) G4NeutronHPorLCapture, G4NeutronHPFission
 - Low energy fission model (> 19 MeV) G4LFission
 - Neutron capture at rest G4NeutronCaptureAtRest

Of these, it's the low energy inelastic models that are removed, but it's not clear to me what to replace with (the HP model for neutrons still is available to cover up to 20 MeV, but it's not clear that Bertini model is an appropriate replacement above 20 MeV.
