Dear Geant4 experts,
I am using Geant4.9.6.p01 and I have doubts about range cuts.
I am simulating thermal neutrons (E=0.025eV) against 6LiF in order to produce the following reaction: n + 6LiF -> 3H + alpha.
Using sensitive detectors ("siliSD" and "converterSD") I create a hit only when a alpha or a 3H particle reaches the sensitive detector. At the end of the run I got the number of reactions produced in the 6LiF (converter) and the number of reaction products reaching the silicon.
The problem is when I change the range cut from 0.01 to 0.001 the number of reactions produced in the 6LiF changes. I do not understand why because according to the theory the range cut is only applied for e-,e+ and gammas (also protons)... When I put 0.001 the number of reactions produced is higher than when I put 0.01.
I am using QGSP_BERT_HP and I change the range cut via: /run/setCut

Another question is that I understand the reaction of n + 6LiF -> alpha + 3H as neutron caputre reaction but when Geant4 simulate this reaction the process name (ProcName) that Geant4 show to me is "NeutronInelastic". Why?
