Hello,

Low-energy e+- backscattering mainly depend on multiple scattering model and step limitation. It should be the same if Penelope, Livermore, or Standard_opt3 Physics List are used. Improvement of agreement data/MC may be achieved by using more strict step limitation.

If you can we would also suggest to switch to the most recent version of Geant4 9-seria 9.6p02. In this part of physics there was some progress from 9.4 to 9.5 and 9.6 demonstrate good agreement with benchmarks used by Geant4 team. For Geant4 it would be interesting to see your results for 9.6p02 and for 10.0p01, because this data are not part of these benchmarks yet.

If you cannot move to newest Geant4 versions, then the only possible recommendation is to reduce step limitation in Geant4 9.5 and try Standard_Opt3 in parallel.
