I realized this might work:
    G4VModularPhysicsList *pl = physListFactory->GetReferencePhysList(name);
    pl->RegisterPhysics(new G4RadioactiveDecayPhysics());

So I tried it: Using a stopped beam of Boron 8, I now see a decay cascade from B8[0] to Be8[3040.0] to Be8[0], with the appropriate nu_e, e+ and gamma (run for 10 seconds of simulated time).

Is that all there is to it?

Perhaps not: Be8[0] did not decay even though its lifetime is 6E-17 sec.
