Click on the Forum title, e.g. on the "Forums by Category" page, to read a sequence of postings to the Forum and its threads all in one page. There are a few typos with the decays mentioned in my summary paragraph. The paragraph should read:
To summarize, the decay spectra (mu- to e-, nuebar, and numu) for electron antineutrinos and muon neutrinos (E<52.8 MeV) are basically the same in the presence of beryllium. Of course, this is not the case in vacuum. I understand that the spectra shift a bit due to the nuclear capture and subsequent decay under the Coulomb potential of the nucleus but it seems that V-A is neglected here.
