I couldn't find how to get started on making custom physics interactions, so any help would be greatly appreciated. Which classes / methods do I use for this?
The details of the interactions aren't important to my question here, but just for some background in case you are curious: I need to simulate the behavior of contaminants in a vacuum chamber that has lots of surfaces and orifaces. When particles encounter a surface, they need to either bounce off of it or stick with some probability which depends on the surface temperature. And if they stick, they need to be able to escape later with some probability.
Ok, so this behavior really isn't encapsulated by hadronic physics, leptonic physics, etc, right? It is more like I need 'billiard ball physics', which seems like it should be simple enough to define. But I just can't figure out how to define it in Geant4, and the references are inadequate so far.
I have already successfully made custom particles to represent the molecular contaminants, and also made them appear throughout the volume with random positions and momenta. But now I need to make the custom physics of the interactions of the particles with the surfaces. The interactions are simple, as described above, so how do I go about defining and implementing custom physics interactions in Geant4?
