Dear geant4 Hypernews member,
I am trying to simulate transport of high energy proton (100 GeV and higher) in hydrogen medium. By mistake I put message in hadronic processes forum, and for physics list I was suggested to use (in geant4 (9.4 and 9.5) ) QGSP_BERT, QGSP_FTFP_BERT and FTFP_BERT. Now when I use this physics lists for the proton 100 GeV , and I make plot the number of gamma (in each step) versus the x size of my << absorber >>, the physics list QGSP_BERT and QGSP_FTFP_BERT give quite similar result but the result of FTFP_BERT physics list is different. In the QGSP_BERT and QGSP_FTFP_BERT there is only one peak of the number of gamma , and in FTFP_BERT physics list there are 2 peaks of the number of gamma.
Is this some mistake of my simulation or for the high energies I should use one of QGSP_ physics lists?
Thank you very much in advance,
