Question Is there Muon production from PhotoNuclear?

Forum: Physics List
Date: 13 Dec, 2010
From: Shanjie Xiao <Shanjie Xiao>

I am trying to simulate the muon production when a 10 GeV e- beam hits a copper target. I used the following built-in physics lists:

- G4EmStandardPhysics;
- G4EmExtraPhysics with GammaNuclear and MuonNuclear "on";
- QGSP_BERT_HP for hadron.

I looked for the Geant4 physics manual but I could not find whether muon will be generated in the photon nuclear process. I tracked about one thousand primaries - it generated photons, neutrons, alphas and some activated nucleus, but I did not find muon.

I want to have muon production (as well as photon, neutron, etc.) in this model. Which physics processes shall I use?

Thanks a lot.
