Question Fluorescence lines missing

Forum: Physics List
Date: 10 Nov, 2010
From: Marco <Marco>

Hi,

i've tried to produce characteristic X-rays and Bremsstrahlung in a 200nm thick gold coating on a 200micrometer thick beryllium window.

But all i can get is a Bremsstrahlung spectrum. The characteristic X-rays from Gold are missing. I've tried every possible physics model. At least for Penelope and Livermore the fluorescence should be automatically activated. I used 18keV electrons to produce these X-Rays.

Attached is my PhysicsList and my DetectorConstruction.

Could it be a problem with the detector, the Cutoffs, ...? I've really no idea where i make the mistake. Any help would be very appreciated!

Thanks, Marco
