I am new in Geant4. I have got a specific physical problem to solve. I want to simulate the degradation effects of the detector during the irradiation (electrons or protons). Right now I have got a detector, which is made by Al, it is a single box with width 8 mu m. I have got a electron gun, electrons strike the detector with energy f.e. 10 keV. I have successfully add physics and I have got a loots of informations about each incident particle. BUT the physical properties of the detector doesn't change.
By use of the RunAction.cc I can simply output very useful informations before (BeginOfRunAction() function) and after (EndOfRunAction() function) the simulation f.e.: temperature, electron density, total number of atoms per volume, total number of atoms per volume or energy loss Ex/Dx of incident particle in the detector. BUT these values doesn't change before and after the simulation.
My QUESTION is why not? It is logical for me that if I shoot to the detector with f.e. 10^6 electrons with the energy 10 keV there must be some damages, the temperature of the detector must increase, the number of atoms per unit volume must change due to f.e. sputtering and so on. The physical properties of the detector must change.
