Click on the Forum title, e.g. on the "Forums by Category" page, to read a sequence of postings to the Forum and its threads all in one page. If you are only interested in one thread or the thread following a specific posting, click the thread or the posting, which takes you to a smaller page, which contains only the part you are interested in and may be easier to navigate.
Messages are "chained" if there are only replies at the first level, i.e. 1/1.html, 1/1/1.html etc. In case of "chained" messages the message number is replaced by the icon and there is no indentation.
Inline: Display the subject line only or also the text of the posting(s); for the choice "All" the "Outline" choices are switched off.

Geant4 tells you how much energy is deposited but it is not Geant4's business to say what happens next. In Ge 300 keV produces about 10000 electron-hole pairs - not just electrons but holes also. Anyway, these are not free electrons that Geant4 normally deals with. They diffuse and drift in the electric field inside the Ge and induce electrical signals on the electrodes. As things stand at the moment, it is up to you to write code to do this.
It is conceivable that Geant4 could offer utility routines for producing e-h pairs and introduce tracking of charge carriers in semiconductors. I am interested in this and would be interested to hear from anyone who can devote some effort to incorporating this into Geant4.
