Hi Hans Peter, We are using G4.5.2p02 + LHEP_PRECO_HP + Packaging to simulate neutrons from thermal to 20MeV coming on a polyethylene bloc with He3 tubes inside. The geometry is tested with the recursive test tool and is OK. The hierarchy tree as seen from ASCII tree viewer is OK. But we have a serious problem when the neutrons hit the wall of the He3 tube, the wall being made of steel. The program seems to stop or loop for a while (5mn) and then starts again. Investigations shown that the problem occurs only when a neutron is inside the cylindrical wall of the tube. The associated process is alway "transportation". It is a very serious problem, so, if you have any idea... Thanks,
P.S. : It never happens for gammas or geantino
