Question GetHadronicInteraction: No Model found

Forum: Physics List
Date: 16 Feb, 2007
From: Katherin Shtejer <>

I have made my code based on Hadrontherapy, where the physics list remained the same. Only the geometry is different and the way of getting the output data to my own anaylisis file files. When testing the different models an error takes place at run time, but it takes place some times yes and some times not. In dont understand why. Following the error message I have taken a look in the G4EnergyRangeManager file but I do not know why not model is found for hadron interaction if I am working inside the proper energy range for those models. For example, for a proton beam of 250 MeV and "/physics/addPhysics proton-precompoundFermi" this is the error message:

Run 0 starts ...
Start Run processing.
G4EnergyRangeManager:GetHadronicInteraction: counter=1, Ek=172.465, Material = Water, Element = Hydrogen
*0* low=0, high=60
In src/, line 123:
===> GetHadronicInteraction: No Model found
Unrecoverable error for:
 - Particle energy[GeV] = 0.172465
 - Material = Water
 - Particle type = proton

*** G4Exception : 007
      issued by : G4HadronicProcess
ChooseHadronicInteraction failed.
*** Fatal Exception *** core dump ***

*** G4Exception: Aborting execution *** Aborted

For the Fermi breakup I am expliring the results for different Z,A from Z=1 to Z=8. I would appreciate any help or idea..

Thank you in advance,
