hello, The incident gamma energy is 140keV. We do not expect to see more than 2-3% difference for the effect of the attenuation.

I guess now I will try to verify that the G4 simulation agrees with theory for infinite attenuation for the absorber plates, (i.e., pure geometric comparison).

I modified my SteppingAction as following:

  G4String thisVolume = aStep->GetTrack()->GetVolume()->GetName() ;
   if(thisVolume == "physiSlit0" ||
      thisVolume == "physiSlit1" ||
      thisVolume == "physiAbsorber" ) 
      aStep->GetTrack()->SetTrackStatus(fStopAndKill);
-------------------------------------------------
The volumes "physiSlit0", "physiSlit1" and "physiAbsorber" are all
made of Pb. 

Am I correct to interpret that the code above would provide infinite attenuation for the volumes made of the Absorber material? Thanks, Ahmet.
