Hello

I am a new user of GEANT4 and I have a problem to simulate gamma energy deposition.

I try to obtain the spectrum in a scintillator YAP if there is a Cesium source (gamma ; 662keV) 2cm far from the YAP.

I use the TestEM1 example for the physics list. We expect to see on the spectrum, the Compton front and the photoelectric peak (0.662MeV). But, we do not obtain energy higher than 0.1 MeV !

I cannot find what is wrong. Can you help me please ? Are there another examples that can help me ? It would be really great if I can find why I don't have the photoelectric peak (note that we have it on the experimental spectrum ...)

Thank you a lot in advance,

Marie-Anne Cognet.
