Hi,

You make two points.

1. setting physics parameters works with the UI commands. Try:

 /process/msc/RangeFactorMuHad .21
 /process/msc/GeomFactor 2.1

It's a little confusing because the printout reads

 Geometry factor for msc step limitation of e+-     2.1

but it is the same geometry factor for protons.

Use

/process/em/verbose 1

to see:

  msc:  for proton  SubType= 10
      RangeFactor= 0.21, stepLimType: 3, latDisp: 1, skin= 3, geomFactor= 2.1
      ===== EM models for the G4Region  DefaultRegionForTheWorld ======
        WentzelVIUni : Emin=    0 eV  Emax=  100 TeV Nbins=240 100 eV  - 100 TeV

2. The proton pdd appears incorrect. If you use unmodified option 4 EM physics you should get the correct result. If not please give more details of your setup. Have you tried either examples/extended/electromagnetic/TestEm11 or examples/extended/runAndEvent/RE02 ?
