Thank you for your reply. However, it does not seem to work for me.

If I put /run/setCutForRegion detRegion 1 um (or /run/setCut 1 um, for that matter) I get the same number of secondary electrons per event (i.e. none in my case) as if I did not change the default values. On the contrary, if I put

G4ProductionCuts* cuts = new G4ProductionCuts; cuts->SetProductionCut(1.*um); detRegion->SetProductionCuts(cuts);

I get about 350 e-/primary, meaning that in this case the cuts are taken into account. I use the Shielding_EMZ physics list.

Any thoughts?
