Dear Experts, Hello

I simulated some layers with different materials in Geant4 and I irradiated them with protons. I wanted to observe each particle generated in each step in SteppingAction, so I wanted the code to define mass and charge of particles.in the results I have particles with mass of 4 amu and charge of 1.95, I think they are alpha, but why their charge is non integer (I mean 1.95 instead of 2)?

I will be happy if anyone could help me.

thanks in advanced
