Hi Huagang,

From my limited understanding (someone correct me if I'm wrong), the following command:

/gps/hist/type arb

is used for specifying the spectrum in the macro itself using

/gps/hist/point energy weight

If you want to use the spectrum160.dat file you need to use the following commands:

/gps/ene/type Arb
/gps/hist/file spectrum160.dat
/gps/hist/inter Lin

The last line is the method of interpolation which needs to be specified after /gps/hist/file or else it will not work.

Please see examples test36.mac or test38.mac in
examples/extended/eventgenerator/exgps/macros
