I am using Geant4 (version geant4.10.02.b01 ) where I am unable to activate the fluorescence of Aluminium when using Am241 as Primary particle after a layer of Aluminium. No problem to "detect" x-rays in case of a layer of copper.
My physics List contains the Livermore PhysicsList G4EmLivermorePhysics() and (just to be sure I have added)
G4UAtomicDeexcitation* de = new G4UAtomicDeexcitation(); de->SetFluo(true); de->SetAuger(true); de->SetPIXE(true);
I have also tried to use Si26 or Si27 as Primary particles since their decays include Aluminium X-Rays and my code crashed in both cases
Is there any known problem with Aluminium x-rays in this geant4 version?
Thanks a lot
