Question Fractionally Charged Particles

Forum: Particles
Date: 09 Aug, 2016
From: Paul Terman <Paul Terman>

I am trying to run a simulation for a fractionally charged particle, aka lightly ionizing particle, going through a detector. I was hoping someone would know how to make such a particle for geant4. There does not seem to be an existing particle in gps. Can I do something with setting a charge for GenericIon? Or perhaps can the charge of a muon be modified? I believe that quarks would decay too quickly to show any possible ionization in the detector. Thank you for your advice!
