Question Generating particles based on information stored in root file

Forum: Particles
Date: 06 May, 2016
From: SAKIB RAHMAN <SAKIB RAHMAN>

Hello, I have a complex geometry with a plane detector downstream. I ran the simulation and have stored the hits on the detector plane. I want to use these hit information to generate events in a standalone program with just the detector geometry so that I don't have to rerun the program every time I make a change to the detector geometry. Is this possible to do that is to read information regarding vertex position, momentum, energy etc. from a root file and use that in the primary generator action?
