Question Cosmic Background Simulation and Cdg

Forum: Particles
Date: 05 Aug, 2015
From: Dylan Pierce <Dylan Pierce>

Good day all,

I am simulating a system which uses two BEGe detectors and eventually a cosmic veto. Right now I am just trying to figure out how to simulate a source which mimics the cosmic background. If you look at the gps you find a type of energy distribution type called Cdg or cosmic diffuse gamma.

Since I am concerned with gammas, would this be wise to use? Secondly, if someone can better explain how to implement Cdg as an energy distribution I would greatly appreciate it.

Regards,

Dylan
