Question How to generate flux?

Forum: Particles
Date: 10 Apr, 2015
From: Shivang Tripathi <Shivang Tripathi>

Dear Experts,

I want to generate neutron flux(no. of neutrons/sq.cm-sec) using GPS. I want that if I am giving /run/beamOn 100 then 100 neutrons should incident at the detector surface at that instant.

I tried /gps/number 100 but it is showing that all 100 neutrons are going by same point though randomization is set on xy plane. Only Track ID(100) is interacting others (Track ID 0 to 99) are just passing through it.

//---Macro---- /gps/direction 0 0 1 /gps/pos/type Plane /gps/pos/shape Square /gps/pos/centre 0 0 -0.75 cm /gps/pos/halfx 0.5 cm /gps/pos/halfy 0.5 cm /gps/ene/mono 0.025 eV /gps/number 100 /run/beamOn 10

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks & Regards

Shivang
