Question Are particles released all at once or serially?

Forum: Particles
Date: 03 Sep, 2014
From: matthew <matthew>

Hello,

I am simulating a general particle source of neutrons, at 14 MeV, released isotropically from a point source. I am trying to record the energy deposited over time, and I have a question.

Are particles from the general particle source release into the simulation all at once at the beginning of the simulation or serially as tracks are updated and then terminated?

thanks for any guidance. matt
