Hi Yanxin,

What is the index of refraction you have given to your Tank, World and tubeDetector materials? If you provide no G4OpticalSurface (and associated G4LogicalBorderSurface or G4LogicalSkinSurface), the program assumes a perfectly smooth dielectric-dielectric surface between your volumes. In that case, you can get total-internal reflection and/or Fresnel reflection at these volume boundaries. If you don't what that you've got to define a G4OpticalSurface that's between your Tank and World (and/or tubeDetector). Else, my suspicion is that you defined a nice mirror surface and so it's no surprise that optical photons reflect. In any case, you cannot turn off 'reflection' selectively with your PhysicsList. If you don't add G4OpBoundaryProcess in your PhysicsList you don't have much of an optical photon simulation.
