Thank you for your response. I just put the lines here that were important for what I want to do. The end line looks like:

RDMGun::~RDMGun() {
 delete ParticleGun;
}

void RDMGun::GeneratePrimaries(G4Event* event) {

        ParticleGun->GeneratePrimaryVertex(event);
}

My header looks:

class RDMGun: public G4VUserPrimaryGeneratorAction {
public:
        RDMGun();
        virtual ~RDMGun();
        void GeneratePrimaries(G4Event* );

private:
        G4GeneralParticleSource* ParticleSource;
        G4ParticleGun* ParticleGun;
        G4ParticleDefinition* Particle;

};

I mean the Gun works fine, I just donīt know how to make it create excited Ions instead of Ions in the ground state.
