Question Does Geant4 support partially ionized ion beams

Forum: Particles
Date: 08 Jan, 2013
From: Shanjie Xiao <Shanjie Xiao>

For example, can I simulate O(7+) in Geant4?

Functions in G4IonTable do not support input of charges, and PDGCharge in G4ParticleDefinition is for fully ionized ions. I found in this forum that someone asked a similar question in 2007 and Geant4 did not support partially ionized ion at that time.

Does anyone know if current Geant4 supports this? If so, how shall I implement?

Thanks.
