Question Recoil nucleus atomic number

Forum: Particles
Date: 17 Nov, 2012
From: C Mos <C Mos>

Hello I am looking at photon induced neutrons and I was wondering if it is possible to obtain the atomic number and nuclear mass of the nucleus involved in such reactions. Through the ParticleDefinition::GetParticleName() I can get the atomic number like "C12[0.0]" or "N14[0.0]". Is there a direct way to tap into the produced particle to extract this information?

Thank you, Chris
