Question Spontaneous fission of Cf252

Forum: Particles
Date: 09 Nov, 2012
From: Francisco Iguaz <Francisco Iguaz>

Hi all,

I'm trying to simulate the spontaneous fission of Cf252, for a comparison with experimental data.

I have installed in my system the version 4.9.5.p02. As the file z98.a252 exists in the RadioactiveDecay3.4 folder (and includes some lines), I expected to observe this process. However, when I run my program, I find the message (verbose 2):

mean life time: 1.20422e+08[s] G4RadioactiveDecay::DecayIt : Cf252[0.0] is not a valid nucleus for the RDM.

Has anyone tried this feature? Should I include something more in the Physics List?

Thank you in advance.

Francisco Iguaz
