Question GPS(GeneralParticleSource) on hemisphere volume

Forum: Particles
Date: 27 Jun, 2011
From: Wonmo <Wonmo>

Dear all

Some part of my GPS scripts are

/gps/pos/type Volume
/gps/pos/shape Sphere
/gps/pos/radius 0.17 mm
/gps/pos/centre 0. 0. 0. mm
/gps/ang/type iso

I want to distribute source points on the HEMISPHERE VOLUME instead of sphere. Isotropic emission is still required.

I tried to find solution in GPS user manual. But "Biasing" is not what I need because I still want isotropic emission but source must be distributed on the hemisphere. Yet I don't know exactly what the "Confine" is. But it seems that "confine" does not change sphere distribution of sources when I visualized.

Please give me any hint to solve this problem.
I really appreciate your help in advance.
Cheers

Wonmo
