I decided it would probably be faster to just pull up the code and check myself than to get an answer here. The answer to my question was that yes, you *do* need to specify all that stuff along with confining to a volume - the confine just tells it to check if the point is in the volume after it is generated, and generates a new point if it is not. So, with source confinement, you don't have to get your specifications *exact*, so long as they cover the whole volume you actually want to generate points in.

While checking this, however, another question arose. At a glance, it looked like cylindrical volume sources were required to be parallel to the z-axis. Is this correct?
