Click on the Forum title, e.g. on the "Forums by Category" page, to read a sequence of postings to the Forum and its threads all in one page. in our detector setup, we shoot approx. 2 GeV C12 ions on a PE target. 0.7 meter behind this target, we detect particles in plastic scintillators via dE/dx and TOF measurement. I find it quite confusing to detect particle isotopes like H5[0.0] or C8[0.0], which have life times of 1e-22 s / 2.0e-06 fs. Is there anything I did forget or misunderstand? These particles should decay closely behind the target.
