I'm also a little confused in this topic.

In the case of 10 primary particles in one event, how can we differentiate the 10 primary particles? Is there any IDs assigned to them?

In one event, for each primary particle, after tracking, it will produce several steps. We can obtain the track information of each step. We can also obtain trackID and parentID, etc. How can we know some specified steps are originally produced from the same one primary particle? By what information?

Thanks a lot.
