Question General Particle Source Angular Distributions

Keywords: gps theta distribution
Forum: Particles
Date: 04 Nov, 2003
From: Tarek Saab <Tarek Saab>

I have simulated particles incident on a small spherical detector from a larger radius spherical surface. I have tried the various combinations of :

/gps/angtype iso and /gps/angtype cos

/gps/surfnorm false and /gps/surfnorm true

and got

1. The same angular distributions for all four cases

2. They were strongly forward/backward peaked rather than uniform

Anyone familiar with this experience ?
