Question How to set up Ion beam with gaussian shape?

Forum: Particles

Hello. I'm working on ACTIVATION OF ALUMINUM WITH ARGON BEAM simulation. I need to set up an Ar+18 ion beam with Gaussian shape and FWHM about 1 cm (2σ = 1 cm) and E = 500 Mev/n. As I found out I'll have to use G4GeneralParticleSource for it. I don't have a lot of experience in geant4. Can you please help me and maybe give links for some examples.
