Hello,

When ion is created the charge can be defined (3d parameter in ion
constructor or UI command). However, if ion is moving in media we are
using so called effective charge aproach assuming equivilibrium of charge
state between ion and media. this equilibrium depends on ion velosity.

Depending on your concrete problem the simulation will be standard or not.
To say more need to know more details.
