Hi,

I would like to generate the radioactive decay of Cs-137 ... I'm using General Particle Source ...

I have a question :

/gps/particle ion /gps/ion Z A (Q) (E) . . . . /gps/energy 5 MeV (?) This is an example macro from the "gps macro file examples"

The reason for my doubt is that my ion is a radioisotope, Cs-137 ... When it decays to Ba-137, it emits a 662 keV gamma line ..with an intensity of 84.1 % In my physicslist, I have included the G4RadioactiveDecay to GenericIon in my physics list as advised in thread 91 " how can I create a radioactive source"

So, in my macro file, should I include energy of the ion , even if I'm interested only in its radioactive decay products interacting with the target material ?? I'm confused ... For simulating the radioactive decay of a GenericIon using gps, should the command "gps/energy ... MeV" be given ... as shown in the gps macro file examples ????

Please help me ..I'm confused ...
