Question Sensitive detector is triggered only when is the presteppoint

Keywords: sensitive detectors poststeppoint presteppoint

I am using spheres as sensitive detectors. I detect optical photons incident on the spheres.

Normally I want all the ophotons on the spheres to be killed and detected on incidence.

If I put the reflectivity of the spheres to 0 then the ophotons are killed but not detected.

If I put the reflectivity to 1 then the ophotons are detected and killed (by a settrackstatus(stopandkill) in my PMTSD.cc).

The problem is that the spheres have to be at the presteppoint of a step for the ophotons to be detected. Thus I have one more unwanted step after every reflection-detection.

I tried to kill all ophotons that have presteppoint on a sphere in my stepping action but I get segmentation faults.

So what I would like is to detect photons that have *post*steppoint on the spheres.

Or in other words not to have the extra step after reflection.
